So you want to be a Dominatrix? Join the queue...... Do your research

For ladies considering a career as professional Mistress, do your homework, read blogs, forums and study other pro-domme websites.  Go to fetish shops,  clubs and munches, Mistresses there  are more likely to be relaxed about chatting about their lifestyle and there are many slaves lingering about just begging to  be practised on. Do your research and learn as much as you can about the industry, think about what you are into and decide what you want to specialise in.  You should try  to learn as many of the Domme skills as you can but probably you won’t be into all of them.  When that’s the case don’t force yourself. Doing something you don’t like is not the behaviour of a true Domina. Focus on what you love and what comes naturally to you. This will be your speciality. There are many many different types of Dominatrix. Some become extremely specific and only practise what they excel at. In this blog, I am going to be writing about Mistresses, some who I have met over the years and others whom I just admire. I'll be commenting on their style of Domination and and the fetish practises they are known for. This is also an excellent  guide for subs who are new to the scene and unsure what type of session they want. I have been told many many times of horrific first time experiences where the session was exactly what they didn't want,  sometimes resulting in the sub being so traumatised he doesn't visit another Dominatrix for a few years until he is able to pluck up the courage to try again. To subs thinking of approaching a Domme,  make sure before you commit to session time that you are both on the same page. A Domme with a twitter or a blog should help you discover what her style is. Do your research before you so much as write to her to avoid wasting your time and the Domina's.
